Job Description
The Staff Accountant will support the Finance & Accounting team by performing essential accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the organization’s financial records, and guiding the team through ongoing growth and acquisitions. This role will oversee daily bookkeeping functions—receivables and payables—assist with monthly and annual close processes, and contribute to budgeting and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will strengthen controls, keep bookkeeping staff on track, and support the department’s upward expansion. Over time, this role may specialize in accounts payable or accounts receivable and build a dedicated team around that function.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in accordance with GAAP.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, resolving discrepancies quickly.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, meeting all deadlines.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
Participate in audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
Contribute to special projects related to acquisitions and departmental growth.
Essential Skills
2+ years experience in full-cycle accounting
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Oracle NetSuite experience required
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with general ledger, reconciliation, month-end processes, and journal entries
Familiarity with audit, reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 per year. Our client offers 100% employer-paid premium cost for medical/dental/vision for the employee only. They also offer benefits such as Friday’s off in the summer, an HSA contribution, unlimited PTO, and a 4% 401(k) match.
