Job Description The Kelce College of Business at Pittsburg State University seeks applicants for a tenure-earning position in Marketing. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or ABD) in Marketing or a related field, a strong commitment to teaching, and the potential for scholarly research. All fields and specialties considered. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate marketing courses in both face‑to‑face and online formats, along with service to the university and community. A 3/3 teaching load, summer teaching contracts, and research stipends are typically available.
Duties And Responsibilities
Teaching undergraduate and graduate marketing courses in multiple modalities (face‑to‑face, online, hybrid).
Conducting academic research publishable in academic journals.
Service
College and university: advising student organizations, mentoring students, serving on university and college committees, aiding in recruiting and retention efforts.
Professional organizations and activities.
Education And Experience Required Education and Experience – Time of Hire
PhD in Marketing (or a related field) from an accredited institution of higher learning; candidates with ABD status.
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the collegiate level in face‑to‑face mode.
Ability to establish a research agenda.
Preferred Education And Experience
Evidence of undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentoring.
Documentation of cross‑disciplinary collaboration (e.g., research, curricular development, service).
Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching online courses.
Willingness to develop courses (any modality) to add to the established course curriculum.
