Senior Engineering Talent Acquisition Specialist | Embedded SW in Metro Detroit area (Infotainment and Autonomous)
Seeking a
Senior Software Engineer
with deep expertise in embedded systems, real‑time software, and vehicle electronics integration. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge programs that advance mission‑critical systems for defense and mobility platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and integration of complex embedded software solutions
Apply model‑based development (UML/SysML) and modern engineering practices
Develop on
RTOS
and
Linux
platforms using
Embedded C/C++
Interface with multidisciplinary hardware and systems teams across multiple time zones
Work with communication and data protocols including
CAN Bus (J1939) ,
RS422/485 ,
Ethernet ,
TCP/IP ,
UDP ,
DDS , and multimedia standards ( DisplayPort, HDMI, HD‑SDI )
Collaborate on system architectures utilizing
x86 ,
ARM ,
GPU , and
FPGA
technologies
Conduct verification and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test instrumentation
Support proposal development, technical bids, and customer delivery planning
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree
in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Software, Systems, Aerospace, or Automotive required)
Master’s degree preferred
(Engineering or Management discipline)
15+ years
of progressive experience in software and systems engineering
Practical, hands‑on problem‑solving mindset with strong technical leadership skills
Experience managing complex projects within highly regulated industries
Exposure to multinational and multi‑organizational engineering environments
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a
U.S. Government Security Clearance
Preferred Background
Proven success leading large‑scale defense or vehicle electronics programs
Knowledge of
U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)
processes and acquisition frameworks
