Base Pay Range $126,000 - $174,000 per year

About The Role
Hours: Full Time
Travel: 0-10%
Office Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Environment: Hybrid and flexible; require at least 2-3 days per week in the office, usually Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
Lead delivery of customer work through modeling, developing presentations, writing, and preparing subsections of reports and papers, and owning customer requests.
Conduct independent research to produce appropriate solutions, even with incomplete information.
Deliver presentations to customers and reply to questions.
Develop aptitude in using flagship modeling tool, gather relevant data, and vet results.
Oversee or assist in management of existing tools and implement major revisions.
Apply core QA/QC best practices.
Lead proposal writing on small/medium projects.
Translate research and evaluation results into clear visual representations.
Create or edit client‑ready spreadsheets and develop tools for customer solutions.
Track performance against plan with ongoing communication to Director or Manager.
Capture project learnings and repeatable products for future use.
Assist with internal initiatives as needed.
Requirements
Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field.
4-8 years of experience in an energy‑related field with focus on the power electric sector.
Prior experience addressing power generation, renewable energy, project economics, and the clean‑energy transition.
Hands‑on or extensive knowledge in or related to our practice areas.
Extensive project management experience leading collaborative efforts.
Experience crafting clear and compelling messages in writing and presentations.
Experience working directly with stakeholders or customers.
Strong written and verbal communication; passion for the transition to a low‑carbon economy.
High fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; quantitative modeling and/or programming knowledge valued.
Preference for experience with electricity or energy modeling platforms (e.g., AURORA, PLEXOS, ReEDS, LEAP, NEMS).
Desire to work in a dynamic office environment with other staff.
