Responsibilities
Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals. Lead and develop accounting, finance/treasury, and credit teams. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Support expansion, warehousing, and logistics initiatives with financial insights. Advise the CEO and Board of Managers on financial planning and risk management. Ensure accurate and timely reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and board reports. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage working capital, cash flow, and credit lines to support seasonal fluctuations. Implement risk hedge strategies for foreign currency transactions. Direct the implementation and monitoring of internal controls, risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and governance protocols. Ensure compliance with J‑SOX and other internal control frameworks. Maintain compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements. Liaise with auditors, regulators, insurance providers, and financial institutions. Oversee the credit department and ensure robust credit policies. Approve credit limits and monitor receivables aging, past‑due accounts, and bad debt reserves. Collaborate with sales and operations to align credit decisions with business growth while protecting cash flow. Lead initiatives to improve DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and reduce delinquency rates. Collaborate with commercial teams (sales and purchasing) and provide financial and administrative support and advice to drive strategic growth. Partner with operations to optimize cost of delivery, warehouse efficiency, and vendor terms. Lead cost‑reduction and process improvement initiatives, including adoption of new technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and an MBA or CPA (or equivalent) is required. 15+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in distribution, logistics, or supply chain. Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
