Senior Credit Officer
Join Western Alliance Bank as a Senior Credit Officer and play a key role in our Credit Risk Management framework.

What You’ll Do As a Senior Credit Officer you will approve, administer, and review loans and commitments to ensure policy adherence and adequate documentation. You will oversee primary credit portfolio management, build relationships with account officers, and support the Credit Administration team through expediting prescreening, underwriting, and approval processes.
Support the Chief Credit Officer by reviewing large and complex loans prior to submission.
Communicate with the CCO on deal pipeline, portfolio issues, and material matters.
Apply decision-making techniques to inquiries, approvals, and requests within assigned limits, using learning tools for development.
Review and update credit policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, and state/federal banking regulations.
Review legal documents for accuracy and consistency with approved terms.
Assess concentration limits and risk to the local economy; assist in quarterly portfolio reviews.
Oversee loan grading and workplace lending; prepare LAPSRs and monitoring reports.
Perform post-mortems on charged-off loans.
Correspond with legal counsel and collectors on workouts, bankruptcies, and charge-offs.
Provide data, quality control, dashboard reporting, and support corporate Credit Portfolio Stress Testing and related processes.
Lead and develop a team; hire, coach, manage performance, train, and develop staff.
What You’ll Need
8+ years of related experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Deep knowledge of banking operations, including deposit and loan administration, treasury management, and commercial banking products.
Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance, rules, regulations, and industry standards.
Advanced spoken and written communication skills.
