Senior Project Engineer
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for all engineering and technical-related disciplines associated with each project, including the management of new product development. In this role, you will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all technical-related activities, with a major focus on both project accuracy and quality, from conception to completion.
Responsibilities
Review initial customer briefs with Sales and Manufacturing to ensure projects are properly quoted and designed; Develop and track project timelines; Review both initial draft and detailed product designs and drawings, material selection, and compliance with costing; Analyze tooling qualification data and samples; Review customer artwork and die lines and work directly with manufacturing teams and customers to resolve technical issues or concerns; Interface with HCP Global Sales and Manufacturing teams while collaborating with customers daily; acting as the technical liaison for all three groups; Clearly communicate complex technical items or issues to non-technical people in a concise manner; Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required; 5–10 years of experience in the cosmetics industry, in either package development or packaging engineering; Experience working with MS Project and MS Office applications, and working knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Pro‑E is a plus; Experience working on both the Customer side (e.g., L’Oreal, Estee Lauder, etc.) and the Supplier side (e.g., HCP Packaging and other cosmetics packaging companies) is preferred; Candidates should either have prior technical experience with our commodity types (e.g., mascara, lip gloss, lipstick, nail enamel packages, compacts, IBM and ISBM bottles, and skin care jars and closures).
