Serves as senior technical leader and working project manager for AI initiatives within the Intelligence Community, combining deep technical expertise with project‑management skills to deliver mission‑critical AI capabilities. Opportunity to work on real‑world projects that directly impact warfighter capabilities and mission success. Help write the policy that will influence how the department tests and evaluates AI across the joint force.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end AI project delivery from concept to deployment
Serve as technical liaison between engineering teams and IC stakeholders
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Provide technical oversight and architectural guidance for complex AI systems
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate progress to leadership
Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks
Ensure AI solutions meet mission requirements and performance objectives
Drive innovation initiatives and emerging technology adoption
Coordinate with multiple agencies and contractor teams
Qualifications
15+ years of AI/ML engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles
Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph required
Advanced degree in a relevant technical field
Proven track record of delivering complex AI projects in government/IC environments
Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
Deep understanding of IC mission requirements and operational constraints
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
AWS experience highly preferred but not required
Military experience strongly preferred
