Assistant Automotive Store Manager The Assistant Manager role is a full-time, hourly position based on business needs. The Assistant Manager is a key holder and serves as the manager on duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Manager, or when demand requires it. This role manages operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The role ensures teammates deliver exceptional 5‑Star service to guests, communicates vehicle issues and proposed solutions, and meets guest expectations for time and quality.

Compensation:

$15 to $22 per hour base pay. Additional compensation available through bonuses and incentives based on performance.

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments for optimal technician utilization and timely vehicle service and repair completion.

Help achieve Monro’s sales goals by recommending tire and service products and promotions.

Attend to all guest needs in sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.

Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.

Assist technicians in conveying repair and service needs to guests.

Maintain the store in excellent condition and consistently in guest‑ready condition.

Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory.

Provide direction and oversight to other technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.

Organize the store’s workflow to utilize technician skill levels efficiently.

Understand and adhere to company policies, procedures, governmental standards, environmental codes, and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety standards.

Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.

Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

2+ years of automotive and sales experience.

2+ years of automotive repair experience.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Excellent communication skills and basic algebra to calculate discounts, commissions, and percentages.

Guest‑ and team‑focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven automotive or quick‑lube sales experience.

Leadership experience.
