Our clients include investment funds, pension advisors, lending institutions, public agencies, attorneys, mortgage brokers, and others. The Commercial Real Estate Appraiser positions being offered to qualified candidates involve the preparation of narrative appraisals and consulting reports for a wide variety of real estate asset types, including office buildings, multi‑unit residential properties, retail properties, industrial properties, lodging and special use properties. The candidates will have the opportunity to develop or sharpen their existing professional skills through Senior Director mentoring, training, and hands‑on experience valuing a broad spectrum of commercial property types which is the linchpin to real‑estate development and investment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and complete multiple appraisal assignments on complex commercial properties
Utilize Argus DCF, AE and Excel to develop cash flow models and other analyses in valuing various property types
Gather comparable commercial real estate data (lease, sale, investment criteria, etc.) and research market trends • Identify the key characteristics of the property type under analysis and evaluate the property’s past and potential future financial performance
Communicate and advise clients, principally consisting of lending institutions, pension funds, pension funds, attorneys and other real estate professionals
Qualifications/Experience
Ethics and Independence
Certified General Real Estate Appraisal License in IL, IN, MN, OH, WI, MI, MO, KS or IA (MAI Designation a plus)
Some exposure or proficiency in Argus and MS Office (Excel and Word)
Analytical and problem‑solving skills
Research skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Attention to deal and the ability to manage multiple assignments
Ability to establish priorities, take initiative, work under time constraints, and exercise sound judgement
Job Type:
Full‑time
Potential Compensation:
$65,000.00 – $110,000.00 + per year
