Summary
The Asset Manager will assist in overseeing a portfolio of commercial real estate properties, ensuring their optimal performance and value appreciation. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to maximize returns, mitigate risks, and enhance the overall value of the assets. The Asset Manager will work closely with property managers, leasing agents, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to achieve investment objectives.
Job Functions
Portfolio Management: Assist in overseeing the financial and operational performance of commercial real estate assets, with a focus on maximizing value and returns.
Market Analysis: Conduct and be expected to know and stay informed detailed research on Texas real estate trends, demand drivers, and investment opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, analyze financial statements, and assess risk‑adjusted returns on investment.
Lease & Tenant Relations: Work closely with property managers and leasing teams to optimize occupancy, negotiate lease terms, and enhance tenant relationships.
Legal & Partnership Structuring: Assist in reviewing, interpreting, and negotiating legal documents, JV agreements, and partnership contracts to ensure alignment with business goals.
Capital Planning & Transactions: Assist in capital improvement initiatives, asset repositioning strategies, and oversee acquisitions/dispositions.
Investor & Partner Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, financial updates, and investment summaries for partners and investors. Ensure transparency in reporting, maintain compliance with partnership agreements, and respond to investor inquiries.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with investors, partners, lenders, and legal counsel to align asset strategies with broader business objectives.

Required Education & Experience
10+ years of experience in asset management, with a primary focus on commercial real estate (hospitality and/or residential experience is a plus).
Strong knowledge of the Texas real estate market, including local economic trends, regulatory environment, and investment dynamics.
Experience working with legal agreements, JV structures, and partnership contracts.
Deep understanding of financial modeling, underwriting, and asset performance metrics.
Experience preparing and presenting investor reports, financial summaries, and performance dashboards.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred).
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or CCIM are a plus.
Strong understanding of technology and AI
