The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design, thermal/fluid systems, and structural analysis, along with experience working in regulated engineering environments.

This role will involve taking ownership of full product life cycles—from concept to production—and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in R&D, manufacturing, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for aerospace applications.

Perform detailed engineering calculations, simulations (FEA, CFD), and tolerance analyses.

Prepare 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in accordance with aerospace standards (ASME Y14.5).

Oversee prototype builds, testing, and validation to ensure performance and reliability.

Collaborate with electrical, systems, and manufacturing engineers on integrated designs.

Drive design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) and design‑for‑assembly (DFA) initiatives.

Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations, material certifications, and quality standards (AS9100, ISO).

Lead design reviews, prepare technical documentation, and present findings to stakeholders.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.

Qualifications
