Opportunity As a Frontend Software Engineer II on the ToolHive team, you’ll help build products that give developers a secure, intuitive way to connect AI agents to the systems they depend on. The role includes contributing to our TypeScript‑based desktop application and developing a new web application from the ground up. Both platforms provide the chance to influence architecture, shape user experience, and tackle complex interaction challenges.

Collaboration with backend engineers, designers, and product managers is central to the work, ensuring polished, reliable interfaces for MCP server management. The role also involves engaging with our open source community, turning feedback into features that make it easier and safer for developers to bring AI‑powered capabilities into production environments.

Technical Context Gained : You’ve developed a solid understanding of both the ToolHive desktop architecture and our new web application stack through code reviews, design discussions, and hands‑on contributions. You’re making meaningful contributions to the codebases and can work independently on standalone features within your first 6 months.

ToolHive Feature Delivered : You’ve designed and shipped a complex feature for either the ToolHive desktop application or new web application that improves the MCP server management experience, while contributing to additional features. Collaborated effectively with backend engineers for API integration and designers for UX validation.

Community Engagement Established : You’ve actively engaged with our open source community through GitHub issues and Discord discussions, converting user feedback into actionable product improvements that were implemented by the team.

Team Integration Completed : You’ve built strong working relationships with engineering, product, and design team members, regularly participating in technical discussions and providing valuable input that influences product decisions.
