The firm is seeking a
Project Architect
to join a fast‑paced studio. The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of architectural design and construction, with experience leading projects from concept through completion. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of design and construction documents from concept through construction administration
Collaborate closely with Job Captains, design staff, and consultants to ensure coordinated, high‑quality project delivery
Provide mentorship, redlining, and technical guidance to junior team members
Conduct code and zoning analyses, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
Coordinate consultant work and integrate engineering systems into architectural drawings
Oversee document quality, accuracy, and consistency with office standards
Engage in ongoing studio activities, project reviews, and advancement of firm culture
Participate in client and consultant meetings as required
Requirements
Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Architecture
Architectural license required
8-15+ years of professional experience, preferably including high‑end residential or design‑focused projects
Extensive experience in design development, detailing, and construction documentation
Strong technical skills with a deep understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Proficiency in 3D modeling software strongly preferred (SketchUp, Rhino)
Proven experience guiding production teams through project timelines and deliverables
Significant experience in high‑end single‑family residential projects
Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
Experience interacting with clients, consultants, and managing project communication
Ability to work closely with the firm principal and production team from schematic design through construction administration
Exceptional attention to detail and strong time‑management abilities
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to support and guide junior staff
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passion for modern and contemporary architecture
Reliable transportation for occasional site visits and meetings
Active participation in firm‑wide planning, business development, and studio growth initiatives
