The role We’re looking for a sharp, hands‑on engineer to join a team that’s pushing the boundaries of innovation. We’re specifically looking for someone to support designing and wiring custom control panels and automation projects, troubleshooting systems, and taking ownership from schematic through build and test. You’ll play a key role in designing and building systems that power real‑world applications, supporting both engineering and manufacturing efforts from concept to execution.
What you will do
Own the control panel design process — from concept through implementation
Design, ECAD schematic capture, layout, and debug of Industrial Control Panels
Select and justify components based on function, compatibility, and reliability
Collaborate on design reviews, redline drawings, and make proactive recommendations (e.g., identifying components with high failure rates)
Spec and implementation of motors, sensors, and control topologies for industrial machinery and production lines
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to support project planning and execution
Managing production with 3rd party vendors for the manufacturing and debug of Industrial Control Panel
Design, development, documentation, and assembly of electrical modifications to lab equipment and printing presses
Assembly and wiring of first‑article panels and electrical assemblies
Design, development, documentation, and assembly of hardware test fixture systems
Support development equipment specification documents and operator manual
What you will need
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Automation Engineering (open to strong early‑career engineers with hands‑on design experience).
Experience in designing, building, and documenting industrial and PLC‑controlled industrial panels and wire harnesses.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and UL‑approved industrial panel design.
Test equipment proficiency (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, function generator, etc.).
Ability to manage design controls, develop and define requirements and test protocols.
Nice to have
Experience using Solidworks Electrical.
Experience designing industrial panels with Beckhoff PLCs.
Experience with industrial standards approval (UL, NFPA, CE).
Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, IO‑Link, etc).
Experience conducting electrical signal quality analysis and rectifying issues.
