Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr
Overview A General Contractor with over 70 years of experience in Detroit, MI, seeks an experienced Project Manager with Water Treatment/Wastewater expertise. The role involves overseeing construction activities for a variety of projects, primarily water/wastewater plants, as well as commercial and industrial sites.
Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for a wide variety of projects.
Project types range from Water/Wastewater plants to other concrete, commercial, and industrial projects.
Manages one large project or several smaller projects.
Ensures project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
Manages Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen who supervise construction employees, providing overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the team.
Initiates and maintains liaison with the prime client to facilitate construction activities.
Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate boundaries.
Confers with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties/responsibilities, and authority.
Establishes work plans and staffing for each project phase, arranging for recruitment or assignment of personnel.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work proceeds on schedule and within budget.
Reviews project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding, procedures, staffing and resources.
Reviews status reports from project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as needed.
Prepares project reports for management, client or others.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
Represents the company in owner progress meetings.
Manages financial aspects of contracts and is responsible for project profit or loss.
Leads the project team in daily field coordination meetings, weekly block schedule meetings and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
Mentors and assists with the career development of other team members.
