Job Description We are currently seeking a motivated Environmental Senior Project Manager for our esteemed client in our Sharon, MA office who has strong technical and environmental experience. This individual will interact with clients supporting existing project work and new opportunities with consultants, retail and banking providers, petroleum, real estate, energy, industrial, and commercial markets.
Our client’s business supports service lines from investigation, remediation, treatment systems, chemical injection to O&M, monitoring and other owner representative, construction management and general contracting services. The person will be completing proposals and following up on opportunities conducting site investigations, due diligence property and building assessments, remediation, and related management of field services for soil, groundwater, dust, and vapor site impact conditions.
Our client is looking for a leader who can provide client representation in support of environmental as well as geotechnical construction projects. It is expected that the person’s knowledge will extend to regulatory, permitting, and related technical support under the Massachusetts MCP, EPA, TSCA and RCRA regulations.
Responsibilities
Be capable of executing projects to address client needs and objectives in the areas of :
Site Investigation - Phase I/II Investigation, Feasibility Assessment
Remedial Design – Phase IV, IV, LRA’s, IRA’s, RAM’s
Remedial Construction, Project Management & Implementation
Project Planning
Retail Petroleum Project Management
Operations and maintenance of remediation systems
Manage projects across a broad area of environmental services ranging in complexity and scope.
The candidate will be participating in proposal development opportunities and be asked to attend networking events and client functions.
The position requires that the Manager have established experience in budgeting, estimates, managing budgets, schedules, meetings and project sequencing and development.
The manager will be responsible for managing and planning field staff activities as part of investigation, project coordination, and remedial service for clients and contractors.
Managers are required to provide leadership and mentoring to our junior engineers, scientists, and technicians in order to support their growth as a part of our continued success.
Specific experience with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and licensing preferred for this position.
Knowledge of state (MA, NH, RI) and federal regulations.
Contractor and subcontractor management.
Technical report writing and review.
Collect, prepare, tabulate, evaluate, and interpret data.
Qualifications
Minimum of 12+ years of experience working on environmental investigation/remediation projects or equal.
Preferred B.S. or M.S. in Environmental/Civil/Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
Professional Licensing and Registration (ie. P.E., LSP, LEP, LSRP, LRS, QEP, P.G., AI, other) in area of expertise. LSP Licensing or career track to obtain license within one to two years required.
Experience in geotechnical and chemical engineering with field experience considered a plus.
8‑hour and 40‑hour HAZWOPER training and commitment to safety.
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel both locally and within the eastern United States and client’s office service areas.
Excellent communication and technical writing skills for client interaction and coordination.
Soil and groundwater sampling techniques.
