Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sound accounting strategies to boost financial health and profitability. Provide financial advice and insights to help our clients make informed business decisions. Oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for management in accordance with financial analysis procedures. Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition. Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines. Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements. Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review. Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions. Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the hospitality industry. Proven expertise in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel. Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations. Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
