Position Summary

The Senior Operations Engineer provides strategic and operational support to achieve project successes, drive revenue generation, reduce operational cost, and ensure safe and optimized operations across the chemical program, solids control program, and source water and reuse operations.

Essential Job Duties Lead chemical program efforts in collaboration with other departments and field staff

Manage chemical vendors on a weekly and monthly basis and coordinate with the operations team to maximize revenue while reducing operational cost.

Monitor effectiveness of chemical usage and provide data analysis for well integrity and trending well‑activity pressure.

Provide analysis for pad management to optimize skim oil recovery by pulling historical data for recommendations.

Support forecast and budgeting efforts for current and future projects.

Track retention time on facilities to maximize skim oil recovery.

Collaborate with Procurement for purchase order requests.

Develop project cost estimates and assist in developing Authority for Expenditure (AFE).

Adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines, as well as Company policies.

Lead solids control program efforts in collaboration with field staff

Manage chemical vendors on a weekly and monthly basis to monitor solids accumulation in tanks.

Provide analysis and recommendations on prioritizing facility tank maintenance.

Lead source water and reuse team to maximize revenue generation and ensure safe and reliable operations

Lead business development efforts with new or existing customers to generate additional revenue projects.

Prepare technical proposals and execute on approved projects and testing.

Manage team of operators for safe and efficient operation of source and reuse.

Coordinate with Land department on right‑of‑way (ROW) for potential new projects.

Develop and execute on project and testing.

Collaborate with Procurement for purchase order requests.

Develop project cost estimates and assist in developing Authority for Expenditure (AFE).

Generate and submit University Lands (UL) monthly report after approval by VP.

Travel to location to guide work and troubleshoot for number of pumps needed for water transfer.

Adhere to regulatory and safety guidelines, as well as Company policies.

Manage team to provide on‑site surveillance and reporting and ensure safe and reliable operations of the project scope.

Coordinate with operations on project scheduling and optimizing resources for successful project execution.

Provide daily reporting.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, or related engineering discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas, water management, or midstream industry.

Adaptable in a fast‑paced work environment that will require frequent site visits.

Strong budget management skills.

Ability to work with others on a team to accomplish established objectives.

Effective oral and written communication, maintaining detailed accurate records, and preparing clear concise written reports.

Ability to apply engineering principles and techniques to the solution of equipment, maintenance processes, procedures, and infrastructure.

Vendor management experience.

Knowledge of basic hydraulics to guide location work and troubleshoot.

Able to travel to field work sites frequently and as required.

Preferred Qualifications Experience in Permian / Delaware.

Familiarity with Texas and New Mexico oil and gas regulations and both state and federal.

Experience with business development in the source water and re‑use business.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Standard office environment with occasional time in the field.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and work on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.

Must have a valid driver’s license and be deemed insurable by the Company’s insurance.
