Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented and highly motivated
Spacecraft Responsible Systems Engineer (SC RSE)
to join the Global Security team in Denver, Colorado. The Global Security Spacecraft Responsible Systems Engineer (SC RSE) provides senior technical leadership across the full lifecycle of spacecraft development—from concept and design through production, integration, test, and flight operations. Serving as the primary interface between technical teams and program leadership, the SC RSE ensures system‑level performance, cost, and schedule objectives are met. This role requires a broad understanding of all spacecraft subsystems and interfaces, leading integrated teams through design, requirements, verification, and certification to deliver mission‑ready systems.
In This Role You Will
Balance and assess the design, test program and requirements to meet mission needs
Enforce the Systems Engineering processes and functions, tailored to a go-fast program
Establish and enforce the standard for anomaly investigations
Ensure adequate peer reviews and trade study rigor to confirm all engineering changes are complete prior to implementation
Ensure leadership (Chief Engineer, Program Management, Customer Counterparts) are informed & engaged in decisions which impact contractual performance
Ensure technical risks are adequately represented
