Engineering Manager
Akkodis is seeking an Engineering Manager for a contract job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering to be considered. The role will involve leading and supervising engineering teams, overseeing projects from conception to completion, managing budgets, ensuring the successful execution of technical strategies, and collaborating with other departments to align projects with business goals.
Rate Range: $110k to $130k.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians
Assign and manage engineering tasks with clear expectations and deliverables
Review and translate customer documentation into manufacturable solutions
Implement process improvements for order transfer, documentation, and change management
Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical challenges
Support lean manufacturing, new equipment/software rollouts, and ISO/OSHA compliance
Develop reports and KPIs to track team and project performance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Leadership: Supervisory or management experience leading technical teams.
Project management skills.
Experience in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of control systems, schematics, and design documentation.
Experience with Electrical AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical.
Experience with manufacturing automation and process improvements.
Comfortable with estimating, budgeting, and cost tracking.
