Position Summary

The College of Engineering at the University of Georgia invites applications for multiple positions with expertise in the areas of mechanical, aerospace, and manufacturing engineering. The College seeks qualified applicants to fill multiple open rank, 9‑month tenured or tenure‑track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to support activities in intelligent manufacturing systems, robotics, or systems engineering. These positions will start on August 1, 2026, and will be academic‑year appointments (9 months) with an opportunity to supplement salary during the summer. These positions will be centered in the College of Engineering’s

School of Environment, Civil, Agricultural, and Mechanical Engineering (ECAM)

and will be supervised by the ECAM School Chair. The ideal candidate is expected to work collaboratively with existing faculty, develop a vigorous, high‑impact, externally funded research program, mentor graduate students and postdoctoral scientists, and support our teaching mission at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Minimum Qualifications

All candidates must have a Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. Relevant / Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

A demonstrated record of research and scholarly achievement appropriate to rank (evidenced by peer‑reviewed publications). Applicants with a strong background developing industry collaborations are encouraged to apply. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

The successful applicant(s) will have expertise including but not limited to artificial intelligence for manufacturing and automation, advanced automation and controls, robotic systems and systems engineering, intelligent design, electric mobility, and computational fluid dynamics.
