We are deploying infrastructure for 5G Networks. A telecommunications startup focused on efficient and strategic support to the nationwide 5G deployment, helping OEMs and operators achieve enhanced connectivity for their networks.
Field Integration Technician The field integration technician will be responsible for new and existing technologies integrations to the network, including LTE & 5G integrations as per site requirements and collaborating with construction crews on site to complete the job scope. Installation may also be required alongside commissioning and integration tasks.
Responsibilities
Installing, configuring and integrating new 5G and LTE equipment from Nokia on cell sites, including decommissioning and removing old equipment.
Coordinating tasks with integration engineers as part of a growing team and performing related duties.
Working at telecommunications sites with at least 13–16 years of experience in BTS/radio installation, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc.
Commissioning and integration of Nokia LTE & 5G equipment.
Using Nokia BTS manager and, preferred, T‑Mobile equipment.
Working with NSN Multi‑Flexi System & Airscale modules and radios.
Commissioning & integration of UMTS, GSM, LTE and NR radio technologies.
Installing routers, circuit breakers, GPS kit, LAN connections, CPRI fibers.
Understanding IP and cable routing.
Mounting/unmounting cabinets, racks and hardware.
Using a fiber scope.
Applying project management theory and real‑world skills related to radio access networks, backhaul, disaster recovery planning, data services and location‑based services.
Maintaining excellent computer skills.
Possessing a PTID and experience installing or commissioning Nokia LTE & 5G equipment.
Having own vehicle, basic tools for wireless sites, laptop, cell phone, and ability to work outdoors.
Requirements
Associate’s Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred (High School diploma and equivalent experience considered).
Nokia certifications (L0, L1, GC Academy preferred).
Professional representation of the company with suppliers, customers and site personnel.
Ability to work within maintenance window hours (midnight to 6 am) or daytime as scheduled, and to adhere reliably to schedule.
Travel ability within or outside the region for projects.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Independent technical skill execution and teamwork with problem solving.
Capability to lift 50 lbs and climb a 12 ft ladder.
Computer and MS Office proficiency.
Valid driver’s license.
Basic hand tools.
