Job Summary The Dandori Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dandori (Material Handling) team. This position ensures that all material movement tasks—such as supplying presses with empty totes and racks, and transporting finished goods—are performed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. The Team Lead will support, train, and guide Dandori team members, coordinate shift activities, and serve as the primary point of contact for communication with other departments. The Lead is also responsible for promoting 5S practices and ensuring adherence to standard work instructions (SWI), while identifying and resolving material flow issues.
Main Duties And Responsibilities (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
Lead and coordinate all Dandori activities for assigned shift.
Monitor and adjust manpower as needed to ensure timely material handling and delivery.
Provide on-the-job training and support to new and existing team members.
Ensure the team always adheres to safety guidelines and SWIS.
Verify accuracy of Kanban scanning and finished goods placement.
Act as a liaison between Dandori team and shift supervisors, warehouse, and production.
Audit 5S in all Dandori-related areas and coach TMs on maintaining organization.
Identify and elevate issues that affect material flow or inventory accuracy.
Monitor equipment condition and report any malfunction or safety concern.
Participate in meetings and improvement activities to support production goals.
Perform material handling duties as needed to support the team.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Production Control management.
Requirements Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of material handling or warehouse experience.
Minimum 6 months in a leadership or lead support role preferred.
Minimum 2 years of forklift experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift Driver certification preferred.
Forklift Training Certification by Reyes is required within 60 days.
Computer Skills
Proficient in scanning and inventory systems (e.g., Zebra handheld).
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and system data entry preferred.
Mathematical Abilities
Basic math skills.
Analytical Or Reasoning Abilities
Good problem‑solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to recognize inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Communication Skills (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)
Strong written and verbal communication in English.
Bilingual English‑Spanish preferred.
Ability to provide clear instructions and feedback.
Other Skills (Technical, Or Other Special Knowledge And Abilities)
Demonstrated leadership and decision‑making abilities.

Physical Requirements
90% of the time spent on the production floor; walking, standing, and moving material. 10% of the time spent on desk‑related work, working on updating and sharing the necessary documentation.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs alone and 50 lbs with assistance.
Repetitive motion, bending, squatting, pushing/pulling carts.
Exposure to climate‑controlled and non‑controlled environments (e.g., hot/cold/humid).
