GCC Technologies is sourcing applicants for Acquisition Specialists to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). We are looking for a Senior Level Acquisition Specialist to remotely support several regions, including Houston, TX; New Orleans, LA; Alexandria, VA; Shreveport, LA; Biloxi, MS; Jackson, MS; Fayetteville, NC; Little Rock, AR; Pensacola, FL. Minimum of five (5) recent years within the last seven (7) years of relevant acquisition support experience. Comprehensive and complex acquisition support services experience with extensive knowledge of FAR, VAAR and all applicable regulations and policies. Documented experience of pre- and post-award acquisition processes and activities, along with related training and certifications. Bachelor’s degree in any field or at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C Level I, II, or III), FAC-C (Professional), or DAWIA Level III in Contracting certification or courses leading to certification, or completion of commercial courses equivalent to certification. Duties

Apply the required knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures to issue and administer construction contracts in accordance with federal acquisition laws and best business practices. Develop construction/AE solicitation packages in accordance with FAR, VAAR, and agency policies and procedures. Develop AE solicitations and administer AE contracts and modifications (3 years of experience). Develop construction solicitations and administer construction contracts and modifications (3 years of experience). Develop complex service solicitations and administer complex service contracts and modifications (5 years of experience). Develop real property/lease related solicitations, contracts, and modifications (2 years of experience). Possess excellent time management and writing skills; collaborate with customers and stakeholders on performance requirements. Refine and improve source selection evaluation criteria; analyze difficult contracting issues and identify alternative courses of action to satisfy specialized requirements.
