Key Responsibilities Administrative & Compliance Support Maintain subcontractor compliance including prequalification, lien waivers, and insurance records.
Manage retainage documentation, certified payroll, Davis-Bacon compliance, and other contract obligations.
Support document control, record retention, scheduling, and administrative reporting tasks.
Assist leadership with timely preparation of internal communications, reports, and updates.
Draft job descriptions, post openings, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
Coordinate hiring decisions and develop long-term recruitment pipelines.
Support new hire onboarding, training, and retention strategies.
Partner with department leads to forecast staffing needs.
Onboard subcontractors and vendors using platforms like TrustLayer and Avetta.
Maintain accurate contractor records and ensure up-to-date compliance documentation.
Serve as liaison for contractor communications and compliance tracking.
Human Resources & Employee Relations Support managers and employees with HR-related questions, policies, and performance concerns.
Oversee background checks, E-Verify, I-9 processing, and worker classification.
Maintain up-to-date HR policies and employee handbook.
Conduct exit interviews and track turnover metrics.
Development & Training Serve as Learning Development Coordinator (LDC) for the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Ensure smooth LMS onboarding and coordinate ongoing training for all employees.
Culture & Engagement Coordinate branded company gear orders, employee recognition, and holiday gifts.
Plan the annual company Christmas party and client mailings within budget.
Support initiatives that reinforce NGC’s values and team culture.
Qualifications 2+ years experience in HR, recruiting, or operations coordination (construction industry preferred).
Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.) and government contract compliance (Davis-Bacon, certified payroll).
Proficient with HRIS systems, compliance tools, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
