THE ROLE As the Executive Sous Chef, you partner directly with the Executive Chef to guide the culinary direction of the restaurant. This position calls for an organized, creative, and disciplined leader who takes pride in consistency, standards, and developing future talent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Culinary Leadership Support the Executive Chef in creating and executing seasonal, high-quality menu offerings Lead daily kitchen operations to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards

Team Development Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold Napa standards Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative kitchen culture

Menu & Ingredient Stewardship Assist in menu planning, tastings, and ongoing refinement Stay informed on culinary techniques, ingredients, and plating approaches

Quality Standards Uphold strict taste, freshness, sanitation, and safety expectations Conduct regular line checks, tastings, and performance reviews

Cost & Operational Management Help manage food costs and inventory processes Maintain efficiency without sacrificing quality

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Previous leadership experience in a scratch kitchen or chef-driven concept Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills A calm, professional approach under pressure Passion for excellence and team development

Requirements:

EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume culinary environment. • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Creative culinary mindset with a passion for innovation. • Knowledge of industry trends and a commitment to staying updated. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
