Corporate Trust & Escrow Services Business Development Officer
Apply for the Corporate Trust & Escrow Services Business Development Officer role at Truist. In this position you will be responsible for marketing and selling Corporate Trust & Escrow Services (CTES) business across specified markets, regions, and product segments. You will identify institutional clients, prepare and deliver presentations, follow up on client contacts, and close sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Possess thorough knowledge of corporate trust and escrow solutions available to institutional clients including public and private corporations, financial institutions, non‑profits, and government entities.
Develop and maintain marketing and sales plans for presentations to institutional clients, centers of influence (COIs), and bank partners.
Develop relationships with appropriate COIs that can refer CTES business, such as law firms, bar associations, investment banks, bond investment advisors, and private equity firms.
Plan, organize, and schedule calling activities for COIs, current clients, prospects, and bank partners to produce sales of CTES solutions.
Coordinate selling activities with other Truist banking and financial services partners as appropriate.
Market CTES through presentations to internal and external groups; represent the bank in civic, community, government, banking, and professional groups.
Perform market research to identify new opportunities and engage with executives and teammates to establish strategies for pursuing those opportunities.
Assist in the negotiation of deal‑specific contacts and pricing within CTES risk guidelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Banking, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent education and related training.
Eight or more years of business development and institutional sales experience that demonstrates progressive growth and accomplishments.
Considerable knowledge of trust, escrow, and agency‑related businesses.
Ability to travel frequently, occasionally overnight.
Ability to network to build and cultivate profitable relationships.
Ability to proactively identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and related training.
Proficiency with CRM such as Salesforce.
Ten years of sales experience.
The annual base salary for this position is $175,000 – $215,000.
All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
