Product Strategy & Acquisition Director

Join as Director of Product Strategy & Acquisition at Faurecia. The role leads a cross‑functional team to drive product strategy, support customer acquisition efforts, and ensure technical alignment with OEM needs for all seating products in North America.

Mission & Responsibilities

Lead and develop the PSA team across Market Intelligence, Innovation Management, Technical Customer Interface, and Quoting.

Drive product strategy for North America, ensuring alignment with regional customer needs and global roadmaps.

Oversee market intelligence and technology scouting to identify trends, competitor actions, and new opportunities.

Guide regional innovation projects for seating structures, mechanisms, and complete seat products.

Ensure cohesive technical and commercial support during acquisition, including customer interactions and quote preparation.

Build and maintain strong OEM relationships, anticipating future requirements and supporting acquisition success.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Product Line Engineering, Operations, and Sales to deliver competitive offerings.

Manage the cost center and functional budgets, optimizing resources to maximize team and business impact.

All other duties as assigned by the Company.

Profile & Qualifications Minimum education level:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

8+ years in the automotive industry with seating or complex mechanical systems.

2 years in management, leading multi‑disciplinary engineering or product‑focused teams.

Proven success interfacing directly with OEM customers during product development or acquisition.

Experience guiding technical content for RFQs and leading acquisition activities in a Tier 1 environment.

Strong track record in cross‑functional collaboration, balancing customer needs with cost and feasibility.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a multi‑functional team.

Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience in direct OEM engagement.

Strategic mindset with proven ability to translate market trends into actionable product plans.

Skilled in coordinating technical, commercial, and innovation activities for successful acquisitions.

Highly organized, self‑driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a lean environment.

Financial acumen to manage cost center budgets and support business case evaluations.
