Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an outstanding academic
BC/BE Cardiovascular Surgeon
to join the
Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery , within the Department of Surgery in
Temple, TX . The Central Texas region is the fastest growing area of the country and has attracted several noteworthy and diverse industries (Meta, Apple and Samsung to name a few). The Cardiovascular Surgery program, under new leadership, is experiencing steady growth that is anticipated to continue for the foreseeable future. Among its many highlights is the robust and growing Advanced Surgical Heart Failure Program. Qualifications
Proficient in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery and expected to contribute to the growth and development of disease‑based programs in partnership with the Divisions of Cardiology and Vascular Surgery
Interest in aortic and/or advanced heart failure surgery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for teaching and mentoring
5 years of experience preferred
Doctorate Degree in Medicine
Licensed to practice medicine in Texas by the Texas Medical Board
Board certified or actively pursuing board certification in specialty per ABMS or AOSB
Academic appointment at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor through Baylor College of Medicine will be determined by experience and qualifications. The Division also has an active research program, including its own biostatistician, and is committed to supporting the development of individual research interests in addition to one’s clinical practice.
