Cardiovascular Imaging Staff Radiologist Advertisement
Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, is seeking a full‑time Cardiovascular Radiologist with a faculty position of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School. The Division consists of 13 staff readers and 9 cardiovascular/cardiothoracic imaging fellows per year.
The position includes clinical service, teaching, and clinical research responsibilities in a dedicated subspecialized high‑volume academic Cardiovascular Imaging practice. Clinical responsibilities cover all aspects of cardiovascular imaging, including Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, Vascular CT, Vascular MRI, and Vascular US with state‑of‑the‑art CT and MRI scanners. The division performs >30,000 cross‑sectional cardiovascular studies per year, supported by a dedicated 3D Laboratory, and runs several clinical programs including coronary CTA in the emergency department, CT‑FFR, structural heart imaging supported by 3D lab technologists, pediatric and adult congenital heart disease imaging, and 3D printing services.
We collaborate closely with consulting services in Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Vascular Medicine, Vascular Surgery, and the Medical and Surgical Services. The division is part of multidisciplinary teams at our adult and pediatric hospitals with Interventional and Structural Cardiology, the Heart Valve program, the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program, and the Thoracic Aorta and Vascular Surgery centers at Massachusetts General Hospital. Extensive research opportunities are also available.
Educational Mission Daily teaching responsibilities include clinical instruction of residents, fellows, and medical students rotating on our clinical service. Formal teaching of Harvard Medical School students and graduate medical trainees is expected. Many opportunities for peer education in the form of Continuing Medical Education are available. Our weekly multidisciplinary conference schedule includes over 8 hours of potential learning opportunities per week in our subspecialty section and allied clinical services.
Qualifications Applicants should be board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and have completed a dedicated Cardiac/ Cardiovascular fellowship or comparable experience.
