Job Description Summary Oversee quality control processes, activities, and systems in assigned division(s)/geographic area. Ensure projects adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Serve as a key partner to senior leaders to develop and execute divisional quality strategies and objectives.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

Able to perform all essential Senior Quality Manager responsibilities.

Oversee quality activities, program implementation practices, and resources for assigned division(s)/area.

Manage Quality team, hiring, team performance, and employee development.

Assist with business planning to coordinate staff assignments, workforce planning, and manage budgets.

Partner with Division leaders to develop and implement quality strategies that align with company goals.

Support with developing and implementing quality control initiatives to maintain a culture of quality.

Oversee implementation and continuous improvement of Quality programs and procedures.

Conduct regular assessments to monitor compliance, identify and address areas for improvement.

Act as liaison with owner, field personnel, design team(s), jurisdictional authorities, subcontractors, and internal departments on complex quality related matters; provide technical advice and guidance.

Lead internal/external assessments including external agencies audits.

Assist in design/constructability review in preconstruction stages.

Ensure effective inspection and testing practices are implemented across projects.

Ensure effective management and execution of advanced non‑destructive testing (NDT) methods, including X‑ray, ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MT), and liquid penetrant testing (PT). Requires certifications like ASNT Level II or III.

Lead and train on quality investigations and root causes analysis; support with developing effective corrective and preventive actions plans.

Collect client feedback and make improvements with client input to foster continuous partnership.

Screen third‑party advisors, assist with defining work scope, and assure peer reviews are conducted.

Leverage key quality metrics to measure and report on quality performance. Leverage data to derive insights and find improvement opportunities.

Participate in internal/external events to maintain quality knowledge, accreditations, and ensure construction operations adhere to all relevant quality guidelines.

Oversee division quality training and certification management.

Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements or Experience Requirements

Technical degree or certification in relevant field a plus.

Specialized knowledge of piping design principles, fabrication, and installation techniques for specific materials (e.g., stainless steel, alloys).

10+ years in construction experience with at least 5 of those years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control or field operations management role in the construction industry; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.

In‑depth knowledge of specific process piping codes and standards, such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX (welding), and BPE (bioprocessing equipment).

Experience with managing teams, driving team performance, and developing others.

Working knowledge of construction industry codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements (ASME, AWS, NEC (NFPA 70), etc.) associated with the work.

Experience with developing and executing team/department business objectives and strategies across large geography area.

Extensive experience with developing and overseeing quality control programs, procedures, standards, and best practices across multiple sites/division.

Experience with participating in large‑scale initiatives to drive quality culture.

Able to develop and facilitate trainings on quality procedures, tools, and best practices.

Strong computer skills; proficient with Autodesk ACC Build (and/or other similar software)

Strong and effective English written and verbal communication skills

Relationship driven individual who fosters collaboration and can navigate conflict effectively.

Able to partner with senior leaders to develop and execute quality strategies across multiple projects/division.

Able to partner with internal/external teams, clients, and trade partners to deliver high quality on project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.

Able to travel as required.

Certifications

Sr. CWI – Senior Certified Welding Inspector is highly preferred. American Welding Society (AWS)

API 570 – Piping Inspector Certification – American Petroleum Institute. Demonstrates specialized knowledge in the inspection, maintenance, repair, and alteration of in‑service metallic piping systems.

AMPP Coating Inspector - Association for Materials Protection and Performance (formerly NACE) Level 1 or above.

NAVFAC/USACE Construction Quality Control (CQC) certification or equivalent or ability to obtain within one year.

OSHPD, DSA, and/or PE license(s), a plus.
