Principal Contract Administrator / Senior Principal Contract Administrator – R10211630 Join Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems as a Principal Contract Administrator (or Senior Principal Contract Administrator) in Linthicum, MD. The role supports the Vesuvius program within the Advanced Radar Systems Operating Unit, handling proposal preparation, contract negotiation, administration, and customer contract activities in accordance with Northrop Grumman policies and U.S. government requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Act as the primary interface with the customer for contractual issues and monitor contracts to ensure obligations are communicated and understood.

Participate in contract proposal preparation, negotiations, and administration for assigned contracts.

Develop solutions for routine and complex contractual matters to maintain compliance.

Manage contract changes, maintain historical data, and fulfill contract requirements.

Review terms and conditions to identify risk areas and recommend mitigation strategies.

Assist management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.

Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers.

Enter and maintain contract data in the Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.

Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables (CDRLs/SDRLs) and submission of invoices.

Basic Qualifications – Principal Contract Administrator

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience. 9 years of applied experience may replace the degree requirement.

Experience using MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or commercial clauses.

Experience working with U.S. government customers.

Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications – Senior Principal Contract Administrator

Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. 12 years of applied experience may replace the degree requirement.

Experience using MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and/or commercial clauses.

Experience working with U.S. government customers.

Active DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels)

Experience using 1ERP.

Current or active DoD Top Secret clearance.

Salary ranges: Primary Level $87,000 – $130,600; Secondary Level $108,400 – $162,600. Salary is determined based on scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications.

Travel: Yes, approximately 10% of the time. Relocation assistance is not available.
