(Senior) Legal Counsel (w/m/d)

– The LCP (Legal, Compliance & Privacy) Germany team advises the German Arcadis entity on all legal matters. The advertised role primarily supports the operational project business from preparing quotations and negotiating contracts to implementing projects and providing support in legal disputes.
Key responsibilities:
Legal and strategic advice on civil construction, architectural and engineering law and, preferably, public procurement law.
Review of project‑related correspondence, preparation of legal opinions, statements and demand letters.
Responsibility for court and out‑of‑court proceedings, including commissioning, coordinating and reviewing external legal advisors.
Initiate and implement measures for extrajudicial enforcement of claims in demanding cases of significant economic and strategic importance.
Active legal project management: negotiation and legal support for extensive, project‑related contracts and contract reviews and drafting.
Ideal qualifications:
Successfully completed law degree (1st and 2nd state examinations).
Relevant experience as a lawyer in construction, engineering and architectural law or as a syndikus in a comparable group company, at least 5–7 years.
Experience in international project business or willingness and motivation to expand it.
Curiosity for cross‑border project responsibility in an international group.
Good technical and commercial understanding.
Goal‑oriented, independent way of working and team‑oriented thinking and acting.
Confident manner, strong communication skills and business fluency in German and English.
Curiosity and proactive commitment to legal tech projects.
