Position Purpose The Network Service Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of customer service, community outreach, relationship building, training assistance and compliance review visits of assigned Gleaners’ Network Partners within their region. This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with all Feeding America requirements, government regulations, and health codes. All responsibilities and duties will further Gleaners’ mission to be a leader in the fight against hunger.

Servicing: Boone, Hamilton, and Hendricks counties

Essential Functions of the Network Service Manager

Manage all Gleaners’ hunger relief distribution activity within the assigned region (agencies, pantries, schools, mobiles, etc.).

Serve as primary point of contact for all assigned Network Partners to ensure the highest level of customer service.

Work as a liaison between the regional food assistance partners and other internal departments.

Ensure Network Partner compliance with all Feeding America requirements, Gleaners and government regulations (TEFAP) and local health codes where applicable through monitoring visits, inspections with proper tracking and documentation.

Expand and leverage community partnerships within the assigned region to recruit new and/or enhance current distribution sites, with regard to storage capacity, volunteers, leadership development, or other needs as identified.

Provide guidance on any hunger relief efforts in the assigned region in collaboration with internal and external partners to strengthen the existing network.

Coordinate requests for grant funding for Network Partners in the assigned region.

Provide input for organizational communications, including story bank, newsletter, website content, etc.

Attend all‑staff and department meetings, community meetings, and/or other meetings related to hunger relief.

Monitor deadlines for any grants related to program activities in the assigned region.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Minimum of three years’ work experience in a related field.

Food Safety and Handling Certified, or ability to be certified.

Multi‑Linguistic preferred, but not required.

Other Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and relationship‑management skills.

Valid driver’s license / clean driving record / must be insurable by company vehicle insurance provider.

Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

Basic math and problem‑solving skills.

Outstanding public demeanor for dealing with agencies, coworkers, volunteers and donors.

Initiative, self‑starter, ability to work without close supervision.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multifaceted demands while meeting deadlines.

Proficient in computer, copier, fax machine, telephone, and other office equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs, CRM platforms.

Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
