Genauto
Sensor, Camera and Embedded System Integration for Robotic Vehicles (Senior BS or MS Student at Rutgers)
About Gen Auto AI: Gen Auto AI (GA) is a pioneering startup at the forefront of building tools that enhance the efficiency of verification and validation for autonomous robotic systems. Our mission is to accelerate safe autonomy by integrating cutting‑edge general artificial intelligence into robotic platforms, including delivery robots and autonomous vehicles. As one of the first companies in the region to tackle these challenges head‑on, we are shaping the future of autonomy with speed, precision, and purpose. We’re looking for driven, creative students to join our growing team and help build transformative technologies from the ground up.
What You’ll Do: As our go-to person for electronics and sensor integration, you’ll help bring our system to life by:
Integrating and testing sensors ( cameras ,
LiDAR ,
IMU ,
GPS , etc.)
Working with
NVIDIA Jetson
or other
embedded computers
to stream real‑time data
Designing and debugging interfaces between hardware components and edge processing systems
Assisting in developing a robust, real‑time perception pipeline
Collaborating with the software and mechanical team to iterate fast and move prototypes forward
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is a student in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Has hands‑on experience with sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, etc.)
Knows their way around embedded platforms like
NVIDIA Jetson ,
AGX , or
Pi ,
SK-TDA4VM , and similar
Is comfortable with serial communication, GPIOs, and hardware‑level data streaming, storing and retrieving large size of data using cloud infrastructure
Wants to
build , experiment, and grow as part of a small but ambitious team
Bonus Points For:
Experience with ROS1 and ROS2, PoE, Networks, SPI, I2C, CAN bus, or real‑time systems
Soldering/debugging hardware and working with schematics
A startup mindset — scrappy, curious, and action‑oriented
