Budget Officer – Associate Governmental Program Analyst
Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable.

Responsibilities Under the direction of the Chief, Budgets Management, the Staff Services Manager I (incumbent) will assist with the development and management of the District's Personal Service and Operating Expense budgets. Duties include:
Update, monitor, maintain, and report on budgetary information by program for various divisions within the district.
Manage District Position Management: monitor positions and movements, ensure no loss of positions, update the district organizational chart, and reconcile positions on a monthly basis.
Assist the Chief and other stakeholders with budgeting decisions.
Eligibility and Minimum Requirements Eligibility may be determined by your score on the Associate Governmental Program Analyst exam or Staff Services Analyst exam. Candidates who do not have current eligibility (transfer, permissive reinstatement, voluntary demotions) or who are new to state civil services employment must be on the state examination list.

Working Conditions Position is located at 1656 Union Street, Eureka, CA 95501. The incumbent may be required to sit for long periods, use a keyboard and video display monitor, telework from home, and work in a climate‑controlled office with artificial light and modular furniture. Telework and travel may be required in accordance with Caltrans policy.
