Summary
The Security Engineering and Architecture QA team is seeking a Tools and Automation engineer with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, strong experience with developing tests and technical acumen. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with QA and software developers during all project phases, collaborating on feature definition, quality plan, test and tooling development for Security features that ship across all of Apple’s operating systems. You will gain experience testing software across a wide range of Apple’s software stack.
Description
As a Tools and Automation engineer in the SEAR QA team, you will be responsible for qualifying a variety of security features. You will need to show abilities in working with developers, Engineering Program Managers, other QA teams to build test plans, execute, automate & report results for security features that ship across Apple’s operating systems.
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of iOS and/or macOS QA experience
Demonstrated experience creating tests that identify deep software bugs
Software skills with automation languages such as Python
Analytical skills to independently perform first-level triage on test failures
Detail-oriented approach to understanding, documenting, and executing on test requirements
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively about technical topics (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications
Test Framework development experience a plus
Experience with Objective-C and/or Swift a plus
