Apple's Vision Products Group is looking for a driven and dedicated Software Quality Manager with strong managerial and technical skills to mentor and lead a team that develops apps to qualify new and cutting edge Apple technology frameworks. Description
The ideal manager for this role is comfortable managing a dynamic and creative team charged with exploring an uncharted and rapidly evolving domain. In this role, you will manage a team of SDETs, Quality Engineers, and automation engineers to develop, maintain, and debug test apps for new and existing APIs/SDKs. You will support a team that is building the core foundational platform for some of Apple's most advanced technologies, including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). This includes developing a series of initial apps to support new features/APIs. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative and cross-functional team of Software Development & QA engineers, architects, project managers, and other Apple QA teams.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science/Engineering and/or equivalent experience
4+ years of Management experience leading SDET/QA/QE Teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
10+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer.
Experience leading and developing a team in a highly cross-functional environment.
Established track record of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineers.
Ability to drive cross-functional communications, understanding dependencies while ensuring tight timelines are maintained.
Deep understanding of SQA methodologies, processes, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience developing test frameworks and automation tests at the UI/non-UI levels.
Passionate about user-focused design, high-quality applications, and iterative refinement.
Persistent and inquisitive problem solver, committed to driving quality forward.
Proficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
MS in CS/CE or equivalent experience
Objective-C, Swift and/or C/C++ programming skills
Deep understanding of Xcode
Familiarity of macOS and/or iOS platforms, Automation and tools development (preferably in Python)
Experience developing AR/VR applications and/or games
Knowledge of Dashboards, Apple Platform development using Xcode, XCUITest, and Swift
Experience with video streaming technology (ie, AVC, HEVC, live streaming encoders),familiarity with new Media features such as Spatial Media and Apple Immersive videos
