Director of Acquisitions | Talent, M&A, Special Projects This strategic position is tailored for a tax professional looking to move beyond the compliance-only, pressure-filled demands of traditional CPA roles.

The Opportunity You will serve as the central tax strategist in an integrated advisory model, collaborating with financial advisors to optimize tax efficiency across retirement income, investments, and estate planning for affluent clients. This entrepreneurial role comes with firm support, built-in client base, and revenue-sharing upside.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Tax Planning:

Design and implement proactive, high-value tax strategies for pre‑retirees and retirees, focusing on Roth conversions, Social Security optimization, RMDs, and tax‑efficient withdrawal sequencing.

Integrated Advisory:

Serve as the lead tax expert, collaborating daily with financial advisors to ensure tax planning is seamlessly woven into comprehensive wealth management strategies.

High-Accuracy Compliance:

Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (federal, state, local) for the firm's clients with meticulous accuracy.

Client Relationship Management:

Serve as the trusted tax advisor for a built‑in base of mass‑affluent households, translating complex tax law into clear, actionable guidance.

Firm Accounting Management:

Manage and oversee all internal accounting and bookkeeping functions for Elite Retirement Group, ensuring firm‑level compliance and financial accuracy.

Practice Growth:

Leverage the firm's marketing engine to scale the tax practice, focusing 100% on servicing firm‑provided clients and strategic planning.

Qualifications Required:

Credential:

Associate's degree in Accounting OR an active Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of direct experience in tax planning and preparation.

Technical Skills:

High proficiency in professional tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake) and accounting software (QuickBooks).

Mindset:

A detail‑obsessed, compliance‑focused professional with exceptional analytical skills and the integrity to handle sensitive client data.

Preferred:

Licensure:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (or actively pursuing; we offer full sponsorship).

Background:

Experience in a financial advisory, wealth management, or integrated CPA firm.

Existing Practice:

We are actively seeking candidates with an existing book of tax clients and are prepared to acquire the practice.

Strategic Knowledge:

Familiarity with retirement-specific tax planning (RMDs, Roth conversions, Social Security taxation).

Total Compensation:

A highly competitive base salary plus a significant revenue‑sharing model. First‑year total earning potential is $75,000 – $150,000+, with a clear path to exceed this as the practice scales.

Client Access:

Immediate access to a built‑in client base. All client acquisition is funded by the firm.
