Job Description Pacific Life is looking to invest in bright, agile new talent to ensure we continue to innovate and strengthen relationships with our policyholders. It's in this spirit that we are currently looking to add a skilled RIA Senior Advisory Consultant to our team.

As RIA Senior Advisory Consultant, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success, serving as part of a front-line sales team responsible for driving new, fee-based annuity sales through Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). You'll proactively market Pacific Life annuity solutions and cultivate business relationships with potential producers using consultative sales skills.

In this role, you'll be expected to meet and exceed annual goals, with a focus on new business acquisition, year-over-year sales growth, and profitability. If you have experience as a financial services sales professional working with fee-based annuities and familiarity with the opportunities and challenges of distributing annuities in the RIA channel, you're exactly who we're seeking. This is a remote role based in the West

What You'll Do

Build business with advisors/teams in the RIA channel using a consultative sales process rooted in developing fundamental understanding of the needs of advisors and their clients

Generate and maintain high volume of sales activity including phone calls, virtual meetings, office visits, seminars, and conferences; successfully utilize and leverage CRM to track all activity, opportunities, and sales pipeline

Strong understanding of investing principles and portfolio construction, and ability to demonstrate how annuities fit within the context of investment portfolios

Manage business and sales budget

Exhibit strong fundamental knowledge of Pacific Life Solutions in addition to macro-economic and market conditions, industry-related topics, and direct and indirect competitors

Deliver persuasive presentations to prospective financial advisors, teams, back offices, and other centers of influence

Create and execute quarterly business plans, including strategic travel rotation (25% - 50% travel expectation)

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide insights that can help determine the direction of new offerings and services for the RIA channel

Partner with wholesalers in other distribution channels to ensure coordinated, successful coverage of advisors, including dually-registered financial professionals, and share leads appropriately

Factors for Success

BA/BS required, emphasis on finance or economics preferred

Series 6 and/or 7 & 63 required; MBA, CFA, CFP, CIMA or other advanced designation strongly preferred

3+ years minimum experience intermediary sales experience covering RIAs and/or BDs with focus on advisory product sales

Active RIA relationships preferred

Working knowledge of clearing, custody, technology platforms and managed assets networks

Demonstrated level of investment/analytical understanding & ability to grasp and articulate complex topics

Strong work ethic, high integrity, unimpeachable ethical standards

Eager to employ & adapt to new technologies; highly engaged, enthusiastic and coachable team-oriented/relationship builder

Compensation The base pay range is between $120,000. In addition, this role is eligible for incentives based on production. The total target annualized compensation (base plus incentives) is $220,000 - $280,000.

Base Pay Range The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
