About the role: Garner is seeking a highly capable and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our Business Technology team as a key member of our growing organization. This is an opportunity to directly shape the future of Garner’s IT infrastructure by owning and improving the systems, processes, and controls that enable us to scale securely and efficiently.

In this role, you’ll manage core enterprise platforms and networks, ensure consistent and compliant service delivery, and drive initiatives that strengthen our security and operational foundation. You’ll play a critical role in implementing frameworks such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), maintaining HITRUST and SOC 2 readiness, and optimizing system performance across Garner’s environment.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth company and enjoys building scalable systems and processes that support both operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Where you will work: This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What you will do:

Administer and maintain core IT systems (Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Zoom, Slack, Zoom Rooms, Unifi Network, FreshService)

Manage full MDM lifecycle for macOS/iOS through Jamf Pro, ensuring secure device configuration and compliance

Maintain and improve network infrastructure (Ubiquiti UniFi) for performance, reliability, and security

Support and optimize conference room and A/V systems (Zoom Rooms)

Handle escalated L2/L3 tickets, uphold SLAs, and drive service quality improvements

Manage user lifecycle operations — provisioning, deprovisioning, RBAC, and access reviews

Support compliance initiatives (HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA) through documentation, access reviews, and audit evidence

Create and maintain SOPs and internal knowledge base content

Coordinate with vendors and MSPs on service delivery and transition projects

Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

What you will bring to the team:

5+ years in IT Operations within a cloud-centric environment

Deep hands‑on experience with

MDM platforms

(Jamf Pro, Kandji, Intune, Google Advanced MDM). Certifications preferred

Expertise in

Okta Workforce Identity

and core SaaS administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom, Zendesk, FreshService, Salesforce); Okta-certified Admin+ preferred

Strong knowledge of

network management

(Ubiquiti UniFi or Cisco), including VLANs, DNS, DHCP; network certification a plus

Proven experience as

L2/L3 escalation point

under an ITSM framework (FreshService or Jira Service Management); ITIL certification a plus

Familiarity with

low‑code automation

(Okta Workflows, Retool, Airtable, Zapier); scripting or REST API skills preferred

Experience supporting

compliance frameworks

(HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA)

Strong project management, documentation, and communication skills; PMP or similar a plus

Compensation Transparency: The target salary range for this position is $144,000 - $185,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
