Base pay range $86,681.00/yr - $109,650.00/yr
Description ITS provides operational support to state agencies on a 24x7x365 basis; some positions may be required to provide this critical service at any time.
Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG25, within the Dedicated Support team, Office of Temporary Disability Assistance Portfolio, WARM is a mission critical application that services over 10,000 clients statewide. The user community consists of all local Social Services Districts (SSD), NYC Human Resources Administration (NYC HRA), NYC Administration for Children’s Services (NYC ACS), Department of Health (DOH), Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA), Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), Social Security Administration (SSA), and Office of Mental Health (OMH). Report/Documents can be accessed 24/7.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
System Administration of OTDA’s mission critical WARM system with 12,000 statewide users; this system comprises many technologies as outlined below:
Become proficient with administration of IBM’s Content Manager on Demand (CMOD) mainframe application
Learn to use IBM Content Navigator (ICN) which is the UI for accessing reports
Work with agencies/business units to develop requirements related to creating new CMOD report applications, report viewing, adding new indexes, onboarding new reports, user/group management, etc.
Develop and execute project plans for system upgrades, maintenance, patching, etc.
Proactively identify, report, troubleshoot, resolve issues that may impede the ability to deliver WARM services
Ability to communicate within the team, to management, and to users in a clear, professional manner
Participate in the formulation and adherence to internal processes, QA standards, guidelines, and procedures all designed to ensure WARM system uptime
Participate in Chief Information Security Office (CISO) system-security reviews in effort to ensure optimal data security within the WARM ecosystem
Basic Windows Server 2019 administration skills
Understanding of Webservices based on Akana/JBoss
Learn to create Report Mining models with Altair’s Monarch Report Mining Server
Learn to administer Crawford Software – this software converts mainframe line date into text and pdf reports
Work with application vendors for support and upgrades
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive services as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Programming) OR in a position at G-21 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in advancement of more than two salary grades.
Note: If you are on the examination eligible list for the position title in this location, you do not need to respond to this posting unless you are also eligible for appointment by one of the qualifications listed above. Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed.
Additional Comments ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. It is the policy of ITS not to hire F1 or H1 visa holders for permanent employment or to sponsor non-immigrant aliens for temporary work authorization visas or for permanent residence.
Some positions may require fingerprinting.
Some positions may require up to 25% travel and/or lifting up to 50 lbs. Some positions are pending Civil Service approval. Details of position(s) will be described further if you are selected for an interview.
If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid-Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
