Position: Advanced Practice Provider, APP, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, ARNP, NP, PA, PAC Department: Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute (OHJOI) Pre Admission Testing Status: Full Time Shift: Day Title: Advanced Practice Provider, APP, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, ARNP, NP, PA, PAC Orlando Health Medical Group is a comprehensive physician group serving patients from across the southeastern United States. Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by interview, health history, physical examination, diagnostic studies, and collaborative treatment planning with the interdisciplinary team. Surgically close wounds, perform incision and drainage, debridement, and dressing as coordinating surgeon remains in the area. Scrub with collaborating surgeon in operating room. Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as credentialed. Diagnose medical and surgical problems and prescribe necessary treatment and services for quality patient care. Implement management based on laboratory results, physical assessment, and follow-up studies in accordance with evidence-based medicine. Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to improve outcomes. Dictate and document in an accurate and timely manner. Provide patient education and maintain preventive health services. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and department on-call rotation and/or weekend/holiday rounding as required. Prescribe medication. Participate in quality initiatives to ensure attainment of key quality indicators. Support IRB-approved clinical research/trials through various activities per trial protocols. Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and applicable laws. Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications
Education/Training
Nurse Practitioner: MN or MSN or DNP or PhD or DNS in nursing. Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited PA program. Licensure/Certification
Nurse Practitioner: APRN license in the state of Florida; national certification from an approved nursing specialty board; current BLS certification. Physician Assistant: Florida PA licensure; current BLS/healthcare certification. Experience

Acts as a role model and resource for staff. Assists in teaching students, residents, and interns in complex techniques and procedures. Participates in policy and procedure reviews and community relationship building. Demonstrates effective communication with diverse populations, including physicians, employees, patients, and families.
