Assistant Coach – Boys Lacrosse – Canyon View High School
Join the Iron County School District to serve as the Assistant Coach for Boys Lacrosse at Canyon View High School. This role supports the head coach in all aspects of coaching and player development. Responsibilities
Assist the head coach with conducting practices and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques. Assess players’ skills, assign positions, and develop a regular practice schedule. Coaches players individually or in groups regarding rules, equipment, and sport techniques. Observe competition and practice to provide feedback for improvement. Assist in determining game strategy based on team capabilities. Maintain standards of pupil behavior and provide proper supervision during all activities. Follow procedures for athlete injuries, equipment care, and state, regional, and district regulations. Model sports‑like behavior and maintain conduct toward players, officials, and spectators. Handle support tasks such as maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, insurance records, and equipment inventory. Promote non‑discriminatory practices in all activities. Possess basic computer knowledge, be familiar with Google Docs, and check email frequently; willing to learn all needed software. Employment Details
