Job Summary This is a Math/PE 1.0 FTE temporary position.

Requirements / Qualifications Candidates need to have teaching experience at the high school level working with high-risk youth and diverse populations. Candidates must possess strong collaborative classroom management skills along with the ability to differentiate instruction in the classroom. To motivate reluctant learners, the candidate must be dynamic and compassionate. It is desired that candidates possess a working knowledge of alternative education teaching and classroom management strategies. Valley Oak High School encourages all teachers to become involved and participate in the school community, including leading professional development based on curricular strengths (i.e., English Learner strategies). Candidates must be CLAD certified or be qualified to obtain an Emergency CLAD permit. The successful candidates believe that they can inspire academic and personal growth that prepares students for success in life.
