Founded in 1920, the District serves approximately 34,000 students in grades 7 through 12 and more than 10,000 adult learners.
Its 32 campuses are located in Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, National City, San Diego, and surrounding communities. The student population reflects California’s rich cultural, linguistic, and economic diversity, including Hispanic, Filipino, African‑American, Asian and other ethnicities; about half of the students speak a language other than English at home.
