Senior Fabrication Leader – Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida
Lead the operation and coordination of clarifiers, cake filters, heaters, plate heaters, and chemical handling (acid, caustic soda, lime) to produce high‑quality clarified juice and low‑pol filter cake. Provide leadership in the absence of the shift supervisor and coordinate the work of other employees to maintain smooth operations and meet production goals. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform all operations of cake filters, clarifiers, and heaters. Coordinate the operation of cake filters, clarifiers, and heaters under the Raw Sugar Production Supervisor’s instructions. Control the KPI of these operations (low turbidity clarified juice and low pol in filter cake). Control heaters and plate heaters’ operation and cleaning. Control handling of chemicals (acid, caustic soda, lime). Resolve any problem related to chemicals (leaks, excessive usage, etc.). Operate computers that control the filter, clarifiers, heater, plate heaters and chemical plant, including navigating through multiple screens. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Perform other related projects and assignments as business dictates. Skills And Abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate verbal, written and computer skills. Ability to adapt quickly to a multicultural environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. Bilingual and biliterate – English and Spanish, preferred. Licenses Required
None Education And Experience
High school diploma, GED (or equivalent experience) and at least three (3) years of experience in sugar fabrication processes and procedures. Physical Requirements
Regular attendance is required during your schedule shift. Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and foggy working conditions depending on weather. Must be able to work in all positions (overhead, kneeling, reaching, crawling & working in small workspaces) and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. First‑Class Benefits

Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (SCGC) is comprised of mostly family‑owned grower‑members who produce approximately 4 million tons of sugarcane yielding approximately 400,000 tons of raw sugar and 20 million gallons of molasses, grown on over roughly 75,000 acres of land primarily in Palm Beach County, Florida. With over 500 employees, the Cooperative is responsible for the mechanical harvest of sugarcane per annum, and then processing and marketing the sugar, molasses and other by‑products. Learn more at
