POSITION SPECIFICS The College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University is hiring an
Admissions Officer . This position supports the college’s enrollment management goals and efforts by coordinating all aspects of the undergraduate admissions lifecycle. It consults with prospective and current students and families, represents the college at recruitment events, advises on enrollment processes, and works with the Central University Admissions Office to support the undergraduate recruitment goals of the college. The role also analyzes academic records and implements policies and procedures to degree requirements at the college, working with academic departments. Additionally, this position works strategically with the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education and Assistant Dean of Student Enrollment Services to increase and enhance undergraduate student recruitment and retention initiatives.
The successful candidate will:
Counsel and advise prospective students/families regarding the recruitment/admission process. Create and implement outreach programs, presentations, and respond to direct requests from prospective students and families.
Act as the lead contact and liaison with Penn State Undergraduate Admissions Office (UAO) and coordinate recruitment plans between the University, college, and its academic departments. Serve as overall liaison between the College and UAO in implementing University recruitment/admissions guidelines and policies.
Work directly with college leadership and departments/academic programs to support unit-specific enrollment management goals.
Research, plan, develop, schedule, and represent the college at recruitment and other events for prospective and current students and college activities, delivering messages to key audiences.
Create content and help develop web and print-based materials for campaigns and activities that support the college’s recruitment efforts, including creating and optimizing content and maximizing use across platforms and devices.
Collaborate with the college’s central and department-specific contacts to develop and deliver a consistent message to prospective and current students during the enrollment life cycle.
Work closely with college leadership in organizing, creating and analyzing data and reports related to recruitment functions of the college. Periodically evaluate the success of recruitment and marketing campaigns and implement continuous quality improvement by developing and monitoring data and metrics.
Manage application follow‑ups, run reports and develop communication strategies to reach students and active applications.
Support connecting students and student organizations to college activities.
Supervise staff members, including hiring, development and performance management.
Serve on committees, task forces and other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree; 6+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted. Required Certifications: None.

SALARY & BENEFITS The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $56,200.00 – $81,500.00.
