Job Description
Oversee and enforce daily procedures, responsibilities, and performance standards for all Security personnel.
Supervise and manage Security Officers, ensuring adherence to company policies, state regulations, and operational expectations.
Manage disputes, resolve complex problems, and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high‑pressure or emergency situations.
Direct and/or conduct internal criminal and civil investigations; act as a liaison with Law Enforcement and Emergency Services.
Supervise or conduct incident investigations, respond to critical incidents, and manage incident scenes, including fire alarms.
Manage and ensure compliance with government‑mandated safety and security programs (e.g., bloodborne pathogen, hazardous communication training).
Provide exceptional customer service to guests and resort visitors, addressing questions, needs, and concerns promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with various departments to identify, address, and resolve operational or safety issues.
Oversee resort surveillance operations, including vehicle, foot, and video monitoring of pools, storage areas, and other key locations.
Oversee the operation, maintenance, and integrity of security systems, electronic locks, and key control access systems.
Perform essential administrative and computer‑based tasks, including typing incident reports, managing email communications, researching safety standards, and maintaining electronic records.
Write detailed and accurate reports for daily review meetings, documenting crimes, investigations, and other required activities.
Coordinate and supervise security coverage for special events and resort functions.
Perform duties of subordinate officers or the Security and Safety Director as needed.
Attend and actively participate in operational, staff, safety committee, and risk management meetings as directed.
Ensure all security activities comply with corporate policies, state laws, and Westgate’s Disaster Plans, Emergency Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Qualifications
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work effectively in various outdoor weather conditions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage attentively and courteously with team members and guests at all levels.
Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license for operating company golf carts.
Successful completion of a background check and drug test, along with verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
Possession of a Class D license.
Certified by the American Red Cross.
Proficiency in CPR, AED, and first aid techniques.
